Net Zero and our goal of reducing our carbon emissions are now at the forefront of our values as a business as a result we would like to share some information about our Net Zero journey and commitment.
Our Net Zero committee pledge to help the business to reach its goal of being carbon neutral by 2030. We are currently working on our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions as outlined by our Net Zero Roadmap. Scope 1 and 2 of the Roadmap aim to tackle our Direct emissions and Energy indirect emissions. Examples of these emissions can be seen below on the Roadmap.
Atec’s aim to tackle its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2025 at which point we will begin to focus on commencing Scope 3 which deals with Indirect emissions. Scope 3 is a complex scope and so Atec have dedicated five years of our 10-year plan towards tackling our Scope 3 emissions.
We have commissioned an Energy report and have used these findings to tailor a plan for the coming year to help us reduce our overall carbon output. These findings are part of a larger Energy Management plan along with an Energy Management Policy which are both to be implemented this year.
