World Book Day 2022
Posted March 03, 2022
On Thursday 3rd March Atec celebrated World Book Day by dressing as our favourite book characters to raise money for charity. We chose two different charities, put forward by our staff, as close to their hearts.
The charities were the RAF Benevolent Fund and New Start Transplant unit at Wythenshawe Hospital. Founded in 1986, New Start is a charity that support people who are awaiting, in need or have had a major organ transplant at Wythenshawe Hospital. The charity funded a complete refurbishment of the hospitals transplants out patients department in 2020, and also refurbished the bungalows that are used by recipients of organs and their families.
The RAF Benevolent fund has been supporting members of the RAF family for more than 100 years. They provide practical, emotional and financial support to serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families. They provide help with debt, illness, bereavement, injuries, disabilities and any issues that they may encounter in their lives. Our team raised a huge £100 for the RAF benevolent fund and £128 for new start transplant unit. Well done Team Atec!
